Project Updates - Spring Edition
Hello, friends!
Spring is finally in the air… at least on the days when it isn’t snowing. Ha!
I’ve been busier than ever with various projects on the go.
Here are some updates on Project Colourama which I mentioned back in January. The project involves various cabinetry additions to the client’s home including a laundry room and a dining room banquette / pantry cupboard. Another big part of the project was replacing an old gas fireplace with something that’s so. much. better. It’s better looking. Incredibly cozy… all the things you want in a fireplace.
The new fireplace has been installed, and the cabinet install is booked for the last week of May. Some open shelving will be added to the right side of the fireplace and then we can tile that thing!
There’s also a super cute mirror cabinet planned for the bathroom.
Here are a few other projects I owe full updates on, but for now here are some sample bites.
Kentwood: Kitchen is complete, but the Ensuite has been added! (It’s hard to ignore an ugly bathroom when your kitchen is so beautiful.) Hoping to make a trip out this summer to take photos. Stay tuned!
Location: Victoria, BC
River Heights Reno: The design planning and finish selections happened several months ago. That’s the bit I helped with. The client has taken the lead along with the general contractor.
I know it’s going to be beautiful!
Location: Saskatoon
Valley Action Abilities: Construction is well underway with this one. We planned and designed a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite complete with kitchen, laundry, two entrances, an office, and a shared living space. Accessibility requirements, safety, and durability are top priorities; we also hope to create a warm and welcoming environment.
Location: Rosthern, SK
Edgemont: I just wrapped up the intensive design planning stage. Whew! This project is new basement construction - 1,700 square feet with a gym, bar, bathroom, office, family room… the works! Furniture and décor are also on the list.

Ridgeview Acreage: These clients are building an acreage, and I’m helping with the design planning, cabinetry, finish and fixture selections, etc. Add to that a suggested furniture layout for the main living spaces. There are SO many details that go into building a home. Let’s do this!

Nutana: This one is just getting started and is focused on furnishings and decorating. The home is a recently built infill (yes, it’s lovely). Good space planning and finding the perfect furniture pieces are what this one’s all about… just a dash of decorating magic to finish things off.

Stonebridge: A few cabinetry additions are required for this home, including a coffee bar, TV / media wall, and make up counter for the primary bedroom. Some odds and ends are on the list (for example, a dining room chandelier) in addition to a complete overall and redesign of the primary bedroom. The vibe is organic modern. Looking forward to getting started on this one!

That’s the “nutshell” version of my designer life lately. I’ve also had numerous one-time consults and mini projects along the way. A huge thank you goes out to my amazing clients for trusting me with their renovation and decorating projects. It’s a joy to work with y’all!
