Valhnot Project

This project involved a renovation of the main floor of the client’s home with a focus on the kitchen and open concept living space. Significant changes were made to the kitchen, including a reworking of the overall layout and an expansion into the former dining area. A corner pantry was removed and the island rotated. Cabinets were extended into the former dining area and the sink relocated to the back wall. A beautiful black walnut is featured in several key locations to add warmth and character.

In the living room, a wood-burning stove was installed which instantly creates a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. New furniture was also selected for the space to maximize seating and comfort.

Sarah MacMillan was involved in the concept development and design planning. She worked closely with the clients to select all finishes, fixtures and furniture and oversaw the project from beginning to end. This involved scheduling trades, tracking expenses, communication, ordering, and general project management.

Project Valhnot was completed fall of 2025.
