Neutral Decorating

I’ve been busy with a number of active projects over the summer. Many of them involve furniture and decor selections. Here’s a neutral living room furniture plan I put together for a client. The colours are simple, but the space feels cozy, collected and classic. Keeping things neutral works best when you add texture, pattern and variety. For example, the art collection has a limited colour palette, but it adds a lot of interest to the overall look.

Pulling together a cohesive furniture plan is a daunting task and a big investment. There are many things to consider - scale, proportion, layout, balance, placement, durability, colour, comfort, etc. It takes a lot of thought and careful planning, but when you get it right, the results can be stunning. Feel free to reach out if you’d like some help furnishing and decorating your home. I’ve spent hours looking at wallpaper, fabric, furniture and decor over the past several years. I can help you get it right!
