Happy New Year from the Studio!

Hello, friends! Warm Greetings to you and yours at the beginning of this new year.

In looking back at 2025, I want to express my deep gratitude for the projects I’ve had the privilege of working on and the clients I’ve had the joy of working with.

2026 is starting off with several projects in the works which is exciting! Here are a few quick updates on each.

Project Kentwood is well underway with kitchen cabinets being installed this week. The clients have also decided to renovate their ensuite which I’m starting plans for. This project is located in Victoria, BC, so it’s a long distance project which makes for some unique challenges. I’m thankful for technology which makes it possible to be in touch and problem solve over video calls as needed. It also helps that the GC has been amazing and very detail oriented. Win!

I’ve shared a bit on social media about the River Heights Reno I’m helping with. This one is very client driven, and there’s another excellent GC managing things as we renovate the entire house. Demo started December 8th. Framing is largely complete, and we had our electrical walk through just a few days ago. A large, beautiful kitchen is in the works along with 4 bathrooms, a new gas fireplace and surround, lighting, flooring… all of it! The overall style is organic modern and fairly minimal but warm. I love how each project reflects the unique taste and priorities of each client.

Project Colourama is in the planning stages, and yes, the client loves colour! It’s going to be great fun. I’ll share more details once we sort through a few more things.

Add to that several one-time consults which are a great way to get some design advice and ideas. Sometimes you just need a bit of direction or the assurance of bouncing ideas off somehow who has some experience. Whatever your project looks like, I’m here to help! Feel free to email sarah@sarahmacmillandesignstudio.com or call 1-306-314-9294. Alternately, you may use the contact form on my website (upper right corner).

Cheers to a new year and getting things done around your house or business!
